The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Care and Research Centre

The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Care and Research Centre offers specialized care for people with complex mental health problems. Family physicians can refer patients directly to one of their out-patient clinics. They also offer two types of support and information groups for family and friends of people with mental illness.

The Ottawa Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association offers many support services for people coping with mental illness. Patients can access these programs without a referral from their physician.

Family to Family Programs (formerly the National Alliance on Mental Illness) offer numerous programs to support family members and friends of people with mental illness.
